Design/Study Table in Blender

Introduction

For completing my environment, I needed to make a table on which the vase with flowers would be placed. In this table, I designed the texture for the table, as well as the mat on top of the table.

Modelling

The modelling of the table is fairly easy, since it is an orthogonal body. Simple extrudes are performed, and the main body of the table is made.

Now the drawers are made. Similar process of simple extrusions is performed here as well. Handles are added with the help of cylinders. A simple bevel modifier is added to help differentiate the drawer when it is flush against the main table body.

There is a mat that is placed on the top of the table in order to add detail. A simple picture is converted to plane, and placed on top of the table with a solidify modifier.

Just for fun, I also added some Pens on the table, because, why not.

Texturing and Coloring

The texture is created in the Textures Shading tab. A combination of nodes is used in order to get a wood like texture.

The "Color" node at the output of Color Ramp is connected to Base Color of Principled BSDF and BSDF to Surface.

The handles are given a simple golden color #FFD700. Their Roughness and Metallic values

Final Render

The final result after 4096 samples is:
