Design of a Jetson Orin Nano Enclosure

For Project Safe Rail, I was tasked with creating an Enclosure for Jetson Orin Nano. This is an official NVIDIA version, and not the copy versions that differ in number of connectors and bounding dimensions.

For the part files, I went to Jetson Download Center | NVIDIA Developer in order to download Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit 3D CAD STEP model

The dimensions of the CAD model are shown in the following drawings. The part was created in three separate bodies, hence the drawings each show each individual part.

After completing the CAD model, removing its top cover and about 1000 samples of Keyshot rendered samples, the results came out quite impressive.

The idea of the CAD model was taken from KKSB Cases Website, however, I changed the front cover into a separate body. By using this body, easier installment of the PCB was possible. Moreover, the enclosure's vent is changed to a more standard vent model.

The bottom part of the enclosure includes a seat for the Wi-Fi antennas. These antennas are taken out from the PCB's built-in plastic base and seated at this seat.
With the help of this feature, the antennas don't experience any signal distortion, while at the same time reduce the overall size of the enclosure by up to 12mm.
